1,430 new COVID-19 cases in Alabama; hospitalizations dip – AL.com

Alabama added just over 1,400 new coronavirus cases since yesterday.

The Alabama Department of Public Health’s Jan. 18 10 a.m. numbers shows the state has had 424,028 COVID-19 cases since March, an increase of 1,430 from the day before. The state added 1 death to bring the total to 6,121.

At 2,716, hospitalizations have continued a slow decline. The state hit its pandemic-long high at 3,077 at the beginning of January.
